Alright, so I’ve been seeing these “ghostface gangsters tattoos” popping up everywhere, and I gotta say, some of them look pretty sick. I decided, what the heck, let’s try to design one myself. I’m no artist, but I figured it’d be a fun little project.
First, I gathered some inspiration. I spent a good hour just scrolling through pictures online. You know, just trying to get a feel for the different styles. Some were super detailed, realistic-looking, and others were more cartoonish and stylized. I was leaning towards something in the middle, not too crazy, but not too simple either.
Brainstorming Time
Then, I started sketching. Let me tell you, this was the rough part. My first few attempts looked like a messed-up smiley face. Seriously, it was bad. I almost gave up, but I kept at it, erasing and redrawing, trying different shapes for the eyes and mouth.
- Attempt 1: Total disaster. Looked like a sad ghost.
- Attempt 2: Slightly better, but still way off. More like a confused ghost.
- Attempt 3: Okay, we’re getting somewhere! Starting to resemble a scream mask.
- Attempt 4: Decided to make a slight modification.
- Attempt 5: Finally nailed it! I am so happy about this!
I added some gangster elements. I’m thinking, maybe a bandana? Or some teardrop tattoos under the eyes? I even tried drawing a little crown on top, but it looked kinda goofy, so I scrapped that idea. Ended up going with a simple bandana – classic, you know?
Refining the Design
After I had a basic sketch I was happy with, I went over it with a darker pen, making the lines cleaner and more defined. This made a huge difference. It actually started to look like a real tattoo design!
I added a bit of shading. Nothing too fancy, just some light shading around the edges of the mask and the bandana to give it some depth. Even this little bit of shading made a big impact.
Finally I think it is done! I showed it to my friend. My friend told me it looked nice,I should design more staff like that!
