Okay, so I saw these Holiballs things on Shark Tank a while back and thought, “Huh, those are kinda neat.” Big, inflatable Christmas ornaments? Why not! So, I decided to grab a couple and see what the hype was about. Here’s how it went down:
Getting My Hands on Them
First, I ordered a couple of different colors online. I went with the classic red and a sparkly gold one, figuring they’d look good in the yard.
Unboxing and First Impressions
When the box arrived, I was actually surprised by how small it was. I mean, these things are supposed to be huge, right? I ripped open the box, and inside were these deflated balls, along with an instruction sheet and some hardware for hanging.

The Inflation Process
This is where things got a little interesting. The instructions said to use a regular air pump, like the kind you’d use for an air mattress. So, I dug mine out and got to work. It took a bit longer than I expected to blow them up. I may, or may not have, taken a water break half-way through.
Setting Them Up
Once they were fully inflated, I had to figure out how to hang them. I decided to put one on my porch and the other in a tree in my front yard. Used the included hardware, and it was pretty straightforward, nothing too complicated. Just made sure everything was secure so they wouldn’t blow away with the first gust of wind.
The Final Look
Stepping back to admire the results, and…I gotta say, they do look pretty cool! They’re definitely eye-catching, and they add a fun, festive touch to the house. I’ve gotten a few compliments from neighbors, too, so I guess I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Durability Check
- It is rainning, so I will check whether it will be damaged by rain.
- After a few weeks, I’ll see if they hold up to the weather and still look good.
Overall, my Holiballs experience has been pretty positive. They’re a fun, easy way to add some oversized Christmas cheer to your home. Just be prepared for a bit of a workout with the air pump!
