Okay, so I decided to dive into my ancestry a bit and ordered a DNA kit from James Koedatich. I’d been seeing ads for these things all over, and I got curious. Here’s how the whole thing went down.
Getting Started
First, I ordered the kit online. It was pretty straightforward – I just filled out some basic info and paid with my card. The kit showed up at my door in, like, a week. It was a small box, nothing fancy.
The Fun Part (Kind Of)
Inside the box, there was this little tube and some instructions. Basically, I had to spit into the tube. A lot. It took me a while to fill it up to the line they wanted. It felt a little weird, honestly, but I followed the directions.

Sending It Off
Once I was done with the spitting, I sealed up the tube, put it in the prepaid envelope they provided, and dropped it in the mailbox. Then came the waiting game.
The Wait
This was the hardest part! It took about six weeks, maybe even a bit longer, before I got an email saying my results were ready. I was constantly checking my email, getting more and more impatient.
The Results!
Finally, the email arrived! I logged into the James Koedatich website and clicked on the link to view my results.
They broke my ancestry down, it wasn’t what I was expecting.
- It’s pretty interesting.
Overall, it was a cool experience. A little spit, a lot of waiting, and then boom – you’ve got a breakdown of your ancestry. It’s definitely something to consider if you’re curious about your background.I might try another one sometime, just to see what the difference is,it’s cool.
