Alright, so the other day I was feeling nostalgic for those old-school dating sims. You know, the kind where you actually have to, like, talk to the virtual girl and figure out what makes her tick? I remembered Date Ariane and how much time I sunk into that back in the day. But I wanted something new, something similar but not exactly the same.
So, I started digging. First, I just straight-up Googled “games similar to Date Ariane”. I mean, that’s the obvious first step, right? The results were kinda all over the place.
I jotted down some names that popped up repeatedly. I saw a lot of visual novels mentioned, some with, uh, spicier content than Date Ariane. I also saw some recommendations for games with more in-depth relationship mechanics, even if they weren’t strictly “dating sims”.
My Trial and Error Process
- First Try: Some random visual novel I found. It was okay, but the translation was super wonky, and the characters felt kinda flat. Didn’t really scratch that Date Ariane itch.
- Second Try: A game. It was much better graphically, but it was more of a puzzle game with dating elements tacked on. Not what I was going for.
- Third Try:I decided that I found a game and downloaded it.
I started a play, and I realized this is exactly what I was looking for! I really appreciated that the creator has been actively updating it. It’s good to see this much passion from a developer.
I am ready to spend my entire night playing this game.
