Alright, so you’re lookin’ for movies like that Jumanji, huh? That one with the wild animals and the game, yeah? I know a thing or two about movies, seen a few in my time, though I can’t always remember them fancy names.
First off, there’s this Zathura: A Space Adventure. Heard tell it’s a lot like Jumanji, but ‘stead of a jungle, it’s all space and aliens and such. Same kinda deal, though, kids find a game, and bam! They’re in for a wild ride. My grandkid told me about this one, said it was real exciting. Spaceships and stuff, not my cup of tea usually, but he liked it.
Now, don’t go gettin’ all confused, but there’s a whole bunch of Jumanji movies. Not just the one with that funny fella, Robin somethin’-somethin’. There’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. They’re newer, and they got those youngsters in ’em. Different from the first one, but still about the game, you know? My neighbor’s kids, they watch these all the time. Said they’re funny, lots of laughin’ when they watch it.
I also heard tell there’s gonna be another one, comin’ out later, somethin’ about 2026. Land sakes, that’s a long ways off! Guess they need time to make all them fancy computer pictures and such. These young folks, they sure like their special effects.
If you want more movies like that, you gotta go lookin’ around. There’s this thing called the internet, my nephew showed me. You can type in “movies like Jumanji” and it’ll give you a whole list. He showed me some website, somethin’ about “Letterboxd” and “Filmaffinity.” Sounded like a bunch of gibberish to me, but he said it’s where all the movie buffs hang out. They got lists and reviews and all sorts of stuff. Said there’s like, 75 movies or somethin’ similar. That’s a lot of watchin’, let me tell ya.
- So, to recap, you got Zathura, that’s the space one.
- Then you got the newer Jumanji movies, the ones with the jungle and the video game.
- And then there’s a whole bunch more you can find online. Just gotta do some diggin’.
Now, I ain’t no movie expert, mind you. I just watch what’s on TV or what the grandkids put on. But if you like that Jumanji, with the adventure and the excitement, well, you got a few places to start. Just remember, some of these movies are gonna be better than others, that’s just the way it is. But hey, that’s half the fun, ain’t it? Findin’ that hidden gem, the one that makes you say, “Well, I’ll be hornswoggled!”
One more thing, don’t forget to make some popcorn! Can’t watch a good movie without a big ol’ bowl of popcorn. And maybe some of them gummy candies. The grandkids love those, and truth be told, so do I. Just don’t tell nobody I said that.
