Okay, so the other day I was feeling super nostalgic and wanted to watch something that gave me those good old ’90s vibes. You know, like “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”? That show was my jam! So, I set out to find some shows that were similar. Here’s how it went down:
The Search Begins
First, I jumped on my laptop and opened up my go-to search engine. I typed in “tv shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and hit enter. I scrolled past all kinds of forums.
I have collect some shows that have a bit of that Sabrina magic:
- Charmed: Okay, this one is a classic. It’s about three sisters who are witches, and they fight demons and stuff. It’s a bit more grown-up than Sabrina, but it still has that magical element and sisterly bond thing going on.
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Another classic! Buffy is a teenager who is destined to fight vampires and other creatures of the night. It’s got action, humor, and some really great characters. Plus, there’s a talking cat in a spin-off episode kind of, so that is good.
- The Magicians:Some of the older kid shows that are a little dark can sometimes capture that feeling.
- Wizards of Waverly Place: This is a Disney Channel show, so it’s definitely lighter and more kid-friendly. It’s about a family of wizards who run a sandwich shop. It’s silly and fun, and it has that magical family element that I loved about Sabrina.
The Experiment
I decided to give a couple of these shows a try. I started with “Charmed” because I’d heard so much about it. I watched a few episodes, and I was hooked! It’s definitely got that ’90s feel, and the sisterly dynamic is really strong. Plus, who doesn’t love a good witch show?
Next, I tried “Wizards of Waverly Place” because I wanted something a bit lighter. It was cute and funny! It reminded me of the earlier seasons of Sabrina, with all the teenage shenanigans and magical mishaps.

So, after my little experiment, I can confidently say that there are some great shows out there that capture the spirit of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” Whether you’re looking for something a bit more serious or something light and fun, there’s a show out there for you.
