Okay, so the other day I was in the mood for a good thriller, something like “The Bone Collector.” You know, that Denzel Washington flick where he’s tracking down a super creepy serial killer? Love that movie. So, I decided to find some similar movies, and here’s how I went about it.
Digging for Gold (aka Searching)
First, I fired up my computer. I just went straight to my search engine. I typed in “movies similar to The Bone Collector” and hit enter. Boom! Tons of stuff popped up.
Sifting Through the Results
I started scrolling through the search results. Many websites showed up.

I skipped over the ads, obviously. I looked for movie suggestions, I found a few that sounded interesting.
Making My List
Here’s what I ended up with, the movies that seemed to fit the bill:
- Along Came a Spider: Morgan Freeman, another detective, very smart.
- Kiss the Girls: Also Morgan Freeman! He is good in these types of movies.
- Seven: This one is dark, about deadly sins, but seemed really good.
- The Silence of the Lambs: Classic! Everyone talks about this one, a must see.
- Zodiac: This one is based on a real case, always like those.
Checking Ratings and Reviews (Just to Be Sure)
I didn’t want to waste my time on a dud, so I checked out some reviews and ratings for each movie. I just typed the movie name plus “review” into the search bar. I looked at the star ratings and read some of the comments. They all seemed pretty solid, so I felt good about my list.
Picking a Winner
After all that, I decided to watch “Seven.” It looked super intense, and I’d heard good things. And yeah, it was pretty messed up, but in a good way, you know? Totally scratched that itch for a dark, suspenseful thriller.
So, that’s my little adventure in finding movies like “The Bone Collector.” It was easy and I get some really good movies to watch.
