Alright, let’s talk about them TV shows, the ones like “The Gifted.” You know, that show with them kids with powers? Yeah, that one. It ain’t around no more, got canned, they say. Too bad, I kinda liked it. But anyways, there’s other stuff out there, similar things, they tell me.
Now, I ain’t no fancy TV expert or nothin’, but I watch my share of shows when I ain’t busy with the chickens and such. So, if you liked “The Gifted,” maybe you’d like some other shows with them superhero folks. They’re all the rage these days, seems like everyone and their dog is flyin’ around or shootin’ lasers from their eyes.
One thing’s for sure, there’s plenty of ’em to choose from. You got your Netflix, your Amazon, and all them other places. They got lists and lists of shows. Someone told me there’s even websites where folks vote on which shows they like best. Sounds complicated, if you ask me. I just watch what looks good on the TV guide.
- One type of show you might like is them shows about regular folks who get powers. Kinda like “The Gifted,” where it’s families and kids. I heard tell of a show called “Heroes” was like that, but that was a long time ago. Maybe they got new ones now.
- Then you got your shows about the famous superheroes, like Superman and Batman and such. They got shows about them, too. Some are good, some are… well, not so good. You gotta pick and choose.
- And let’s not forget them shows about teams of superheroes, like the X-Men. “The Gifted” was kinda like that, with them mutants and all. So if you liked that, look for shows with teams of folks fightin’ the bad guys together. There’s plenty of them, that’s for sure.
I remember watchin’ a show a while back, can’t remember the name of it now, but it was about folks on a spaceship. They weren’t superheroes exactly, but they were fightin’ aliens and stuff. That was pretty good. It had lots of action, just like “The Gifted.” So maybe you don’t need superheroes, just some good ol’ fashioned fightin’ and adventurin’.
Now, some folks, they like them shows that make you think, you know? The ones with twists and turns. I ain’t got much patience for that kinda stuff myself. I like it when things are straightforward. Good guys fight bad guys, end of story. But if you’re one of them thinkers, there’s shows out there for you too.
And then there’s them funny shows. You know, the ones that make you laugh. Sometimes it’s nice to watch somethin’ lighthearted after a long day. Ain’t got nothin’ to do with superheroes, but it’s still good TV. I like that “Young Sheldon” show. That kid’s a hoot.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ like “The Gifted,” you gotta look around. There’s lots of shows out there, somethin’ for everyone. You just gotta find what you like. And if you don’t like it, well, you just turn it off and find somethin’ else. It ain’t rocket science, as they say. Just keep lookin’ and you’ll find somethin’ that suits ya. Don’t let them fancy websites and lists confuse you. Just watch what looks interestin’ and go from there.
And don’t forget, you can always ask your friends or neighbors what they’re watchin’. Sometimes the best recommendations come from folks you know. They might know a show you’d never find on your own. That’s how I found that spaceship show I was talkin’ about earlier. My neighbor, old Mrs. Henderson, she told me about it. She watches a lot of TV, that one. Probably too much, if you ask me, but she knows her shows.
Anyway, that’s all I got to say about that. Go find yourself a good show to watch, and don’t waste your time on the bad ones. Life’s too short for bad TV, that’s what I always say. And if you find a good one, let me know. I’m always lookin’ for somethin’ new to watch.
