So, I got this idea to check out where they filmed that movie, “17 Again”. You know, the one where the guy suddenly turns into a teenager again? It got me thinking, how cool would it be to actually visit those places in the movie?
First off, I started digging around on the internet. I typed in something like “17 Again filming locations” and boom, a bunch of websites popped up. I found this one site, it is called “Find That Location” or something, and it’s all about movie and TV show locations. Pretty neat, right? They had a whole list of places from “17 Again”. I also found some blog posts talking about it. They mention that they often film at the same spots for different stuff, like commercials and other TV shows. One spot, a house they used in “17 Again”, was apparently also in some show called “Day Break” and another one named “In Justice”.
I went through a few of those sites. They had some general info, but not all the juicy details. Then I found this other site that had way more specifics, like what scenes were shot where.
I started making a list of all the places mentioned. I remember seeing something about some famous spots, like Martha’s Vineyard, but I skipped those since they weren’t in “17 Again”. Oh, I also noticed some folks talking about other movies, like comparing the “17 Again” house to Walter White’s place or the beach from “Lost”. But that’s off-topic.
Anyways, I ended up with a pretty decent list. Some of the places I recognized right away from the movie.
So, after all that digging, I got a pretty good idea of where they shot “17 Again”. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, going from one site to another, but hey, it was fun. And now I’ve got this cool list of places to maybe check out someday. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try to recreate some scenes, just for kicks.
This whole thing made me realize how much movies can make you curious about the real world. It also showed me how the same places can be used in so many different ways on screen.
