Okay, so, I watched this movie called “EXmas” the other day. It’s one of those Christmas movies that are popping up on Prime Video. I mean, it’s November, and they’re already rolling out the holiday stuff, right? Anyway, I figured I’d give it a shot and see what it’s all about.

I went in with pretty low expectations. You know how these holiday movies can be. They’re usually cheesy, predictable, and full of clichés. But I gotta say, this one wasn’t terrible. It didn’t blow me away or anything, but it was decent enough to sit through.

First off, the movie is pretty short. It clocks in at just under 90 minutes, which is perfect for a weeknight when you don’t want to commit to a three-hour epic. I started watching it after dinner, and it was over before I knew it. That’s a plus in my book.

The movie is set during the holidays, obviously. They did a good job of creating that cozy, Christmasy vibe. You’ve got the snow, the decorations, the ugly sweaters—all the usual stuff. I put on my own comfy clothes, grabbed a blanket, and settled in. It definitely got me in the holiday spirit, even though it’s still early in the season.

Now, the plot is nothing to write home about. It’s your typical rom-com stuff. I won’t spoil anything, but let’s just say there are some exes, some misunderstandings, and a whole lot of awkward situations. It’s predictable, but hey, what do you expect from a Christmas movie?

The acting is…well, it’s okay. No one’s winning any Oscars here, but the actors do a decent job with what they’re given. I recognized a few of them from other shows and movies, so that was kind of fun. The two leads have some chemistry, but it’s not exactly sizzling. More like a lukewarm spark, if you know what I mean.

The humor is hit-or-miss. I chuckled a few times, but I wasn’t exactly rolling on the floor laughing. There are some funny moments, but they’re pretty tame. Don’t expect any raunchy jokes or anything like that. It’s all pretty family-friendly, which is fine for a Christmas movie.

I did watch the whole thing, so that’s saying something. Usually, I’ll get bored with these types of movies and start scrolling on my phone, but this one kept my attention. It wasn’t amazing, but it was entertaining enough to keep me engaged until the end.

  • Watched it on a weeknight.
  • Short and sweet, under 90 minutes.
  • Got me in the holiday mood.
  • Predictable plot, but that’s okay.
  • Decent acting, lukewarm chemistry.
  • Some funny moments, nothing too crazy.
  • Kept my attention until the end.

Overall, I’d give “EXmas” a solid 2 out of 5 stars. It’s not a must-watch, but it’s not a total waste of time either. If you’re looking for a light, fluffy Christmas movie to watch on a chilly evening, this one will do the trick. Just don’t expect it to change your life or anything.

If you end up watching it, let me know what you think. And feel free to share your own Christmas movie recommendations. I’m always looking for new ones to check out, especially during the holidays!
