Yep, David’s dad, Leon, used to do art, and apparently, there’s a whole lot more to those pictures than just pretty colors. This symbol’s got somethin’ to do with all the creepy stuff goin’ on in this show. So, David and Kristen, she’s the lady who helps him out with all these supernatural cases, they decide to head on out to a remote art commune to investigate. It’s like they just know somethin’ ain’t right, so they pack up and go.
Well, when they get there, things don’t exactly go as planned. They find out that the place is full of all sorts of strange folks, and the atmosphere? Let me tell ya, it’s thick with tension, like you can just feel somethin’ bad is about to happen. Turns out, the whole commune is wrapped up in some dark arts, and they’re all tied to that sigil from David’s daddy’s artwork. That symbol’s more than just a piece of paint, it’s part of somethin’ big, somethin’ dangerous.
In the meantime, David’s startin’ to struggle with all the heavy questions about his faith, and he’s tryin’ to figure out what all this weird stuff means for him personally. His whole life, he’s been trained to fight the devil’s work, but now, he’s startin’ to see just how deep this mess really goes. It’s not just about evil spirits anymore; it’s personal, and he’s gettin’ more and more tangled in it.
Now, y’all remember Kristen? She’s got her own demons to deal with too, if ya know what I mean. In one part of the episode, she gets a little too close to the darkness, and we see her wipein’ blood off her leg. At first, we don’t know what’s happened, but later on, we find out that a man named Orson, he’s been killed—beat to death with somethin’ real ugly. And wouldn’t you know, it looks like Kristen’s mixed up in all of it. She’s got a real tough road ahead of her, tryin’ to figure out what’s goin’ on with her life and where all this bloodshed is leadin’.
At the end of the episode, things take another twist. David gets an offer to move on up, way up to the Vatican in Rome, where the big boys play. Now, David’s always had his heart in the church, and the Vatican’s a big deal in the Catholic world, so he’s thinkin’ this might be his big break. He even offers Kristen and Ben to come along, but only Kristen takes him up on it. Now, why Ben doesn’t want to join them? I don’t rightly know, but it’s clear he’s got some things on his mind that he ain’t ready to share. As for Kristen, she packs up and heads off to join David in the Vatican. Who knows what kinda trouble she’s gonna find there?
And there’s this one moment that’s a real kicker. Lucky for you, the show didn’t let Kristen and David get too close, if ya catch my drift. Turns out, there’s a mosquito demon, or maybe it was a succubus demon—who can tell?—that was pretended to be Kristen, tryin’ to mess with David. It’s all a bit much to take in, but that’s the beauty of this show—it’s full of surprises.
