Alright, let’s talk about this “Drops of God” show, episode seven, you know? That’s the one where things really start cookin’, like a pot of stew on the stove.
So, this episode, they call it “Food and Wine.” Well, I guess that makes sense, ’cause ain’t nothin’ much happenin’ without somethin’ to eat and drink, right? Anyways, this whole thing is about this wine contest, see? This fella, Yutaka, he up and dies, and leaves all his fancy wine stuff to his kid, Issei, and this other gal, Camille.
Issei and Camille, they’re headin’ to Paris. Yeah, Paris! Fancy, huh? That’s where they’re gonna have the last round of this here contest. Everybody’s wonderin’ who’s gonna win. It’s like a horse race, only with wine glasses instead of horses.
Now, Issei, he’s a curious fella. Always askin’ questions, especially about Camille. Seems like they’re startin’ to get along, kinda like cats and dogs learnin’ to share a bowl of milk. They talk a bit, not much, but you can see they’re thinkin’ hard about each other. It’s kinda sweet, in a way.
But then, boom! Something happens that nobody saw comin’. Not Issei, not Camille, not even me sittin’ here watchin’ the TV. This contest, it takes a turn. It ain’t just about tastin’ wine no more. It’s somethin’ else entirely.
- They gotta use their noses, not just their mouths.
- They gotta figure out what food goes with what wine.
- It’s like a puzzle, only the pieces are smells and tastes.
And that Lorenzo fella, he spills the beans about why Luca wanted Camille to take care of that wine guide thing. Seems like there’s more to this whole story than meets the eye. It’s like peelin’ an onion, always another layer underneath.
This Camille, she’s got a problem, though. She can’t drink wine without gettin’ sick. Poor thing, her nose starts bleedin’ and all. It’s somethin’ to do with somethin’ bad that happened to her a long time ago, somethin’ with her mama, Marianne. It makes you feel bad for her, you know? Here she is, tryin’ to win this wine contest, and her own body’s fightin’ her.
And then, after all this waitin’ and wonderin’, Talion, he comes out with the results. The big reveal! Who won? Well, I ain’t gonna tell ya. You gotta watch the show to find out. But I will say, it’s a bit of a surprise, but then again, maybe not so much. Some folks, they kinda saw it comin’.
This Issei, he’s gonna patch things up with his daddy, that much was clear from the get-go. And him and Camille? They end up friends, just like I figured. And it seemed pretty darn obvious that Camille would win the whole shebang, though with her condition, it was a nail-biter for sure.
So, Yutaka, he had this will, right? And he puts Issei and some other fella named Shizuku in it. These two, they become rivals, tryin’ to find this special wine, the “Drops of God.” Sounds mighty important, that wine. Like the holy grail, only you can drink it.
Anyways, that’s about it for episode seven. It’s a good one, keeps you guessin’. Makes you think about family, about winnin’, about losin’, and about all the things that happen in between. And it makes you want to pour yourself a glass of somethin’ nice, even if it ain’t no fancy French wine. A good cup of tea will do just fine.
So go on, watch it yourself. See if you agree with me. And if you don’t, well, that’s alright too. Everybody’s got their own taste, just like with wine.
