Alright, let’s talk about this Drops of God show, episode five, you know? I watched it, and let me tell ya, it’s somethin’ else.
So, this whole thing is about this fancy wine competition, right? For a dead millionaire’s money and his fancy wine cellar. And there are two folks fightin’ for it. One’s that Japanese fella, Issei, and the other’s this girl, Camille. Now, Camille, she’s got problems. Can’t even touch a drop of that wine stuff without her nose startin’ to bleed like a stuck pig. Poor thing, must be tough.
This episode, it’s all about another one of them crazy tests. See, the old man, the millionaire, he set up all these challenges before he kicked the bucket. Real complicated stuff, not like anythin’ I ever seen. This time, they gotta figure out a wine just by lookin’ at a picture and readin’ some riddle. Sounds crazy, right?
Issei, he’s a real smart fella, always thinkin’ hard and knowin’ all about wine. He’s kinda serious, you know? But Camille, she’s different. She’s got this… I don’t know… a feelin’ for it, even though she can’t drink the stuff. It’s like she remembers what her daddy taught her, even though it gives her the nosebleeds and all. Must be hard on her, remembering all that stuff and not bein’ able to enjoy it like other folks.
So they’re lookin’ at this picture, and the riddle is talkin’ about some kinda… memory, I think? And it’s got somethin’ to do with light and shadow and flowers. It’s all a bit much for an old lady like me, but I tried to keep up.
- Issei, he went straight to the books, readin’ and researchin’. Smart boy.
- Camille, she just closed her eyes and tried to remember what her daddy told her way back when. That’s a different kind of smart, I guess.
And then, whaddya know, they both figure it out! But it ain’t the same wine. Issei, he picks one, and Camille, she picks another. Turns out, they’re both right, in a way. The old man, he was tricky, see? He made it so there could be two right answers, two different wines that fit the riddle. Sneaky old coot.
So, they gotta do another tiebreaker, another test! This time, it’s somethin’ about findin’ the perfect food to go with the wine. And that’s where the episode ends, leavin’ ya hangin’ like clothes on a line! Darn TV shows, always makin’ ya wait.
But I gotta say, this show is gettin’ pretty good. Even though I don’t know nothin’ about fancy wines, I like seein’ these two youngsters figurin’ things out. And I feel bad for Camille, with her nosebleeds and all. Hope she finds a way to get better.
It’s also got me thinkin’ about family and fathers and all that. Camille, she had a tough time with her daddy, pushin’ her too hard. But maybe, just maybe, he was tryin’ to teach her somethin’ important. Somethin’ more than just about wine.
And Issei, he’s got his own daddy problems, seems like. Maybe that’s why he and Camille, they understand each other a little bit, even though they’re competin’. It’s like they’re both tryin’ to prove somethin’ to their daddies, even though one of ’em is gone.
Anyway, I’ll be watchin’ next week, seein’ who wins this crazy competition. And I hope Camille’s nose stops bleedin’ so much. Poor girl.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go have a cup of tea. None of that fancy wine stuff for me. Too much trouble, if you ask me.
