Now, this Kyung Min, she’s just an ordinary woman, tryin’ to live her life. But then weird things start happenin’. Like, she finds cigarette butts that ain’t hers, and her stuff is moved around. It’s like someone’s been in her apartment, but she never sees nobody. Gives you the chills, doesn’t it? Makes you think about all them times you thought you lost somethin’, but maybe you didn’t, huh?

This Lee Kwon fella, he directed the movie. And Gong Hyo-jin, she plays Kyung Min. She does a real good job, makin’ you feel for her. You really believe she’s scared outta her wits. And lemme tell ya, there’s other folks in the movie too, like Kim Ye-won and Kim Sung-oh, but it’s really Kyung Min you follow along with. They did a good job pickin’ her, she looks like she could be your neighbor, ya know?
The movie came out in 2018. Seems like just yesterday, but time flies when you gettin’ old, I tell ya. They also said somethin’ ‘bout it bein’ a drama too. Guess that makes sense, ‘cause it ain’t just scary, it’s kinda sad too. You feel bad for Kyung Min, all alone and havin’ to deal with this creepy stuff.
Now, they’re sayin’ this movie is kinda like another one called Sleep Tight, but that one’s Spanish. And it’s more of a drama, not so much a thriller. But this Door Lock, they changed it up, made it scarier, set it in Seoul, Korea. Big city, lots of people, but still, you can feel alone even in a crowd, I reckon.
And get this, they mentioned another movie called Hide and Seek. That one’s Korean too, and it’s about strangers hidin’ in people’s homes.
