Well, look at you, wantin’ to find some movies like that fish one, “Nemo,” right? I tell ya, that Nemo movie, it was somethin’ else. Made me cry a little, and I ain’t cried since… well, never you mind. So, you want more like that, huh? Let me tell ya, there’s a whole bunch of ‘em out there, like a swarm of flies on a hot summer day.
Now, I heard tell of this movie, “An American Tail”. They say it’s like “Nemo,” but with mice instead of fish. Mice, can you believe it? Runnin’ around, gettin’ lost, just like that little Nemo. Probably got some sad parts too, makin’ you wanna hug your own young’uns, if you got any.
And then there’s this “Brother Bear” movie. Heard it’s better than “Nemo” some folks say. About a hunter killin’ a bear, which ain’t right, if you ask me. But then, movies, they always gotta have some drama, you know? Keeps you on the edge of your seat, or so they say. I mostly just fall asleep on the couch, but that’s just me bein’ old, I reckon.
This internet thing, it says there’s like 80 movies similar to “Nemo”. Eighty! That’s more than the chickens I had back in ‘72. Can’t rightly name ‘em all, but they’re out there, swimmin’ around in the movie world, just like them fish. Some good, some bad, some just plain ugly.
- Some are about animals getting lost, just like Nemo.
- Some are about adventures, big and small.
- And some, well, they just make you feel good inside, like a warm cup of tea on a cold day.
Heard some folks talkin’ ‘bout a movie called “Shark Bait”. They say it ripped off “Nemo” and some other shark movie. I ain’t seen it myself, but sounds like a mess to me. Stealin’ ideas, that ain’t right. But that’s Hollywood for ya, always lookin’ to make a quick buck.
Now, this “Finding Nemo” movie, it was pretty special, ya know? The way them fish looked, all colorful and swimmin’ around. And that little Nemo, he was somethin’ else, always gettin’ into trouble. Reminds me of my grandson, that one. Always climbin’ trees and fallin’ into the creek. Kids these days, I tell ya.
They say this company that made “Nemo,” they might make another one. “Finding Nemo 3”, they’re callin’ it. About the ocean bein’ a big place, and all. Well, I coulda told ‘em that. Ocean’s bigger than my backyard, that’s for sure. Maybe they’ll find some new fish, or maybe Nemo will get lost again. Who knows? But I bet it’ll be pretty to look at, at least.
And then there’s the difference between “Nemo” and that other one, “Dory.” “Nemo,” they say, was more serious, showed how that little fish’s daddy lost his family. Broke your heart, it did. “Dory,” well, that one was more for the little ‘uns, they say. More silly, less sad. I like a good cry myself, but sometimes, you just want a laugh, ya know?
So, if you’re lookin’ for movies like “Nemo,” you got plenty to choose from. Just gotta poke around, ask folks, maybe even use that internet thing. You’ll find somethin’ you like, I reckon. Just remember, ain’t nothin’ gonna be exactly like “Nemo.” That movie, it was one of a kind, like a good ol’ homemade apple pie. Can’t be beat, no matter how hard you try.
And one more thing, don’t go believin’ everything you read on that internet. Half of it’s made up, and the other half’s just plain silly. Use your own judgment, ya hear? You know what you like, and that’s all that matters. Now go on, get to watchin’ them movies. And don’t forget to make some popcorn, movies ain’t the same without it.
