Alright, so I finally got around to watching the last episode of “The Hour” season one, episode six to be exact. I’d been putting it off, you know how it is, life gets in the way. But I carved out some time yesterday evening, made myself a cup of tea, and settled in for what I hoped would be a good conclusion to the season.
First off, I gotta say, I was a bit lost at the beginning. I mean, episode five ended on such a cliffhanger, and I was expecting some immediate answers. But nope, they threw me right into the middle of this whole new thing with the Suez Crisis. I had to pause it a couple of times and do a quick search to refresh my memory on what was going on.
Once I got my bearings, I started to appreciate the way they were weaving together all the different storylines. You’ve got the stuff with Bel and Freddie, which, let’s be honest, is the main reason I was watching. Their chemistry is just electric. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting to see if they’d finally get together.

- Then there’s the whole mystery with Ruth and the conspiracy.
- Honestly, I was a little confused by that part at times, but I think that’s kind of the point.
- They want you to feel as lost and uncertain as the characters do.
I spent a good chunk of the episode yelling at the TV, especially during the scenes with Hector. I mean, come on, can that guy be any more obvious? I was practically begging Bel to see through his act. But then again, she’s got a lot on her plate, what with trying to keep the show going and dealing with all the pressure from the higher-ups.
The climax of the episode was pretty intense. I won’t spoil anything, but let’s just say things got a little crazy at the TV studio. I was holding my breath, not knowing what was going to happen next. And then, boom, the episode ends, and I’m left hanging again.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I thought it was a solid ending to the season. It tied up some loose ends but also left me wanting more. I’m definitely invested in these characters now, and I need to know what happens to them. I guess I’ll have to start season two soon. I just hope it lives up to the expectations set by this first season. It’s gonna be a long wait, though. Wish me luck!
So yeah, that’s my take on “The Hour” season one, episode six. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you thought. And if you haven’t, well, maybe give it a watch. Just be prepared for a bit of a wild ride.
