Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this “The Calling” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Started off just poking around, you know, seeing what it’s all about. I mean, two women, decades apart, connected by a phone call? That’s some freaky stuff right there.
First, I dug into the whole setup. This Seo-yeon character loses her dad in a fire, and this other woman, Young-sook, is somehow involved. It’s all tangled up, and I’m just trying to piece it together, like a messed-up puzzle. They’re chatting on this phone, and things start to get weird, fast. I spent hours going back and forth, watching scenes over and over.
Then, I started jotting down everything that happened. Like, really detailed notes. Timelines, who said what, you name it. There’s this one bit where Young-sook saves Seo-yeon’s dad, but then things go sideways again. It’s like one step forward, two steps back. There was so much happening, you know? It was hard to follow up everything. I wrote down so many things.

And the ending? Don’t even get me started on the ending. So, Seo-yeon’s dad doesn’t make it, and she’s all messed up about it. But then, there’s this whole other layer with Young-sook in the future, and it’s like, what is even happening anymore? I was so confused and tried to make sense of it. The detective Sarah is also facing a final confrontation.
I was trying to figure out if Young-sook had this phone thing, maybe she was still around and kicking, but it’s all blurry. It feels like she just protected herself, or something. I was so confused, but after watching several times, I got it. Like, there’s this whole scene where someone is reading a diary, and there’s a burned knife. I have no idea what that means. Also, in the other scene, Mia gets into a car crash, wakes up in the hospital, and Riley and Max are okay. Then she sees this light and follows it. It’s a trip.
So, I’m sitting there, staring at my screen, trying to make sense of it all. I’ve got papers everywhere, timelines, character notes, the whole nine yards. It’s a mess, but it’s my mess. I’m just a regular person trying to put things together from this story.
Finally, I managed to piece together a rough idea of what went down. It’s not perfect, but it’s something. I felt a little bit proud of myself to finish the analysis. It’s like, I went on this crazy journey with these characters, and even though it’s all messed up, I kinda get it now. Or at least, I get it enough to talk about it, you know?
I just want to share this to you guys. Maybe you have different thoughts. And I’m so glad that I made it!
