Alright, let me tell you ’bout this place, this “Brother Hooligans” in Tulsa. I ain’t no fancy writer, so I’ll just tell it like it is, you know?
First off, they got food, lots of it. Folks say it’s “American cuisine,” whatever that means. I just call it good eatin’. They got fried chicken, real crispy and juicy, the kind that makes your mouth water just thinkin’ about it. Then there’s shrimp, big ol’ ones, not them little skinny things you get sometimes. And steak too, if you’re feelin’ fancy. They got all sorts of stuff, somethin’ for everyone, even picky eaters like my grandson, Billy.
Now, this place ain’t no tiny little hole-in-the-wall neither. They got two spots in Tulsa, one on 15th Street and another on Yale Avenue. The one on Yale, that’s the big one, plenty of room for folks to sit and eat. And parking too, which is a big deal, lemme tell ya. Nothin’ worse than drivin’ around in circles lookin’ for a place to park when you’re hungry.
People been goin’ to Brother Hooligans for a long time, more than 25 years, they say. Started out as just a bar, a place for the fellas to hang out, but now it’s a family place. You see all sorts of folks there, young and old, families with kids, couples, even just folks eatin’ by themselves. It’s a friendly place, you know? The kind of place where you feel comfortable just sittin’ and eatin’ your food without nobody botherin’ you.
- Food is good and hot: They bring it out to you steamin’, not like some places where it’s already cold by the time it gets to your table.
- Staff is nice and helpful: They treat you right, always smilin’ and makin’ sure you got everything you need. They work together like a well-oiled machine, gettin’ your food to you quick.
- Portions are big: You definitely won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure. They give you plenty of food, enough to fill you up and then some.
They got somethin’ called “comfort food.” That just means it’s the kind of food that makes you feel good, you know? Like your grandma used to make, if your grandma was a good cook, that is. Stuff like mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf. Good, hearty food that sticks to your ribs.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, it ain’t the cheapest place in town, but it ain’t the most expensive neither. You get what you pay for, I always say. And at Brother Hooligans, you get good food, plenty of it, and friendly service. What more can you ask for?
So, if you’re ever in Tulsa and you’re lookin’ for a good place to eat, check out Brother Hooligans. You won’t be disappointed. Just tell ’em I sent ya, although they probably won’t know who I am, but that’s okay. Just go and enjoy the food, that’s what matters.
And one more thing, they got good reviews too. Folks online, they give it high stars, sayin’ it’s a great place to eat. So, it ain’t just me sayin’ it’s good, other folks think so too. You can look it up yourself if you don’t believe me. But trust me, it’s good eatin’.
They’re open for a long time now, and that tells ya something right there. Places that ain’t good, they don’t last long. But Brother Hooligans, they been around, and that’s ’cause they do things right. They cook good food, they treat people right, and they keep the place clean. That’s all you need, really.
Last thing I gotta say, If you want to book a table you can call them, it’s easy. Just find the number online, I ain’t got it memorized or nothin’. But yeah, they got tables you can reserve, especially if you got a big group.
