So, the other day, I finally got around to watching the finale of “The Big Door Prize” Season 2. Man, what a ride that show is! I’d been putting it off, you know how it is, life gets in the way. But I carved out some time, got cozy on the couch, and dived right in.
I was hooked from the first episode of this show. That whole idea of a machine, this “Morpho” thing, that tells you your potential? Crazy, right? It really got me thinking about my own life, you know? What I could be, what I should be doing… Anyway, I went into this finale with a ton of questions. Like, what was the deal with each stage, and why are some people repeating stages? And the whole “Deercoming” thing, I had no clue what that was about.
The episode kicked off right where the last one left us hanging. Tense! Trina and Jacob, they were at each other’s throats. I gotta say, I didn’t see that coming. And Dusty, oh man, Dusty… he kept pressing that “Continue” button, right? Then, boom! He’s somewhere else entirely. It looked like he was inside the machine. He was pressing his hand against the glass and everything. Talk about a cliffhanger!
Watching it all unfold, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat. My mind was racing, trying to piece it all together. It was a bit of a mess, if I’m being honest. There’s so much going on in that town, with all the different characters and their Morpho cards. It’s kind of like a puzzle, but some of the pieces are missing. Or maybe they just don’t fit where you think they should.
- Why is everyone reading their cards a different way?
- Why do people react to the cards differently?
- What is going to happen with Dusty?
But then, as the episode was ending, I started to get this feeling. It’s like a feeling that things were kind of wrapping up, but also not. Does that make sense? They gave us some answers, sure, but they also left a bunch of stuff hanging. It makes you want more, you know? But, here’s the kicker, I heard that there won’t be a Season 3. Seriously! They canceled it! I couldn’t believe it when I read that. So many unanswered questions, so many cliffhangers! It’s a real bummer.
My Final Thoughts
It is a well-written TV show with a unique concept, I have to say that even though I am bummed out about the cancelation. Despite the frustration, I’m still thinking about the show. That’s gotta count for something, right? It’s like, it got under my skin. I just wish I knew what was going to happen next. Maybe someday someone will pick it up again. One can only hope, I guess. It is definitely worth watching though!
