Best Paint by Numbers Kits: As Seen on Shark Tank Pitches!

Okay, so I stumbled upon this “Paint by Numbers” thing on Shark Tank, and I was like, “Hmm, that looks kinda cool.” I’ve always wanted to try painting, but I’m, like, the least artistic person ever. So, I decided to give it a shot.

First, I ordered a kit online. It came with everything: a canvas with the design pre-printed, little pots of paint, and some brushes. I chose a shark design because, well, sharks are awesome. The whole unboxing felt a little like Christmas. So many tiny paint pots!

Getting Started

  • I laid everything out on my kitchen table.
  • I filled a cup with water for rinsing the brushes.
  • I put on some old clothes because I knew I’d make a mess. I always do!

Then, I just started painting. Each little section on the canvas had a number, and each paint pot had a matching number. It was super simple. Like, really, really simple. I just matched the numbers and filled in the spaces. It was strangely relaxing.

At first, it looked like a total mess, just random blobs of color. But slowly, as I kept painting, the shark started to appear. It was actually pretty exciting to see it come to life.

I spent a few evenings working on it, a couple of hours each time. Some of the sections were tiny, so I had to use the really small brush and try to stay within the lines. I definitely went outside the lines a few times, but it wasn’t a big deal. I just wiped it off or painted over it later.

The Final Result

After about a week, I finished it! And you know what? It actually looked pretty good! I mean, I’m not going to be showing it in any art galleries or anything, but for a complete beginner, I was pretty proud of myself.

I even framed the work and placed it in my work room!

It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s a shark, and it’s colorful, and I made it. So, yeah, that’s my “Paint by Numbers” Shark Tank adventure. It was fun, relaxing, and I ended up with a cool piece of art. I’d totally recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, easy way to get into painting.
