Okay, so I wanted to mess around with those AI voice things, you know, the ones where you can make it sound like a famous person is saying whatever you type? I saw a bunch of videos online where people were making it sound like the characters from Family Guy were talking, and I thought that was hilarious. So I decided to give it a try myself.
Finding the Right Tool
First, I had to find a good website or program to do this. I tried a few different ones, but some of them were kind of janky. You know, they either didn’t work right, or they wanted you to pay a bunch of money. Eventually, I found one that seemed pretty decent and it was free, at least for a trial.
Figuring Out the Voices
The website had a big list of voices to choose from, including a bunch of cartoon characters. I found the Family Guy ones easily enough. They had Peter, Stewie, Brian, and a few others. I started with Peter because, well, he’s Peter Griffin.
Typing in My Text
There was a box where you could type in what you wanted Peter to say. I spent way too long trying to think of something funny. It’s harder than you think! Finally, I just typed in something simple like, “Hey Lois, I’m making an AI voice recording!”
Generating the Audio
Then, I hit the “generate” button or whatever it was called, and the website started doing its thing. It took a little while, maybe like 30 seconds or so. I guess it takes some time to process all that AI magic.
Listening to the Result
Finally, the audio file was ready. I clicked play, and there it was – Peter Griffin’s voice saying my dumb sentence. It actually sounded pretty good! It wasn’t perfect, you could tell it was a computer, but it was definitely recognizable as Peter.
Experimenting More
Of course, I had to try the other voices too. Stewie was probably the funniest one. I made him say all sorts of ridiculous stuff. Brian’s voice was a bit harder to get right, it sounded a little robotic sometimes, but it was still pretty funny.
- First try: Peter Griffin voice, saying “This is my first try, hope you like it!”
- Second try: Stewie Griffin voice, and I made him say something pretty stupid.
- Third try: Brian Griffin voice. This was a bit of a fail, but I think it will get better if I try it.
Conclusion
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. These AI voice generators are getting pretty impressive. It’s a bit freaky how realistic they can sound. I probably spent way too much time messing around with this, but it was definitely worth it for a few laughs. It was just like what I saw on those online videos, only this time, I was the one making the Family Guy characters say silly things. I think you will have fun too if you want to try it yourself.
This is only about 700 words of the voice lines, but I’ve collected the best ones for you.
