Okay, so the other day I was really in the mood for giant robots fighting giant monsters. I mean, who isn’t sometimes, right? I’d already watched Pacific Rim like a million times, so I needed something new to scratch that itch. That’s where my little adventure began.
Digging for Similar Movies
First, I just started brainstorming. What other movies have that same kind of massive-scale, over-the-top action? I thought about it, and a few kinda-sorta similar things popped into my head. But nothing was quite perfect.
So I went to Google. Typed in “movies similar to pacific rim” and crossed my fingers.
The first things popped up were not a surprise to me, I started hitting up some forums and Reddit threads. I figured real people would have better, less obvious suggestions than some algorithm.
My Watchlist
I started throwing anything that sounded remotely interesting onto a list.
I ended up checking out a couple of trailers, and some of them looked pretty good. I’ve still got a few more to get through, but hey, that’s the fun part, right? It’s like having a treasure map of awesome movies to explore.
Anyway, that’s pretty much it. Just wanted to share my little movie-hunting expedition. Hopefully, I’ll find some more hidden gems in the process!
