Okay, so the other day I was in the mood for something intense, you know, like really gripping. I remembered loving “Deliverance” back in the day – that whole survivalist, man-versus-nature thing. So, I decided to find some movies that gave me the same kind of vibe.
First, I just opened up my go-to browser. Nothing fancy, just the usual.
Then, I typed in “movies similar to Deliverance” into the search bar. I mean, it’s pretty straightforward, right?

My Simple Search
The search results popped up, and I started scrolling. There were the usual suspects:
- “Southern Comfort” – Yeah, I’d heard of that one. Soldiers in the Louisiana bayou…sounds promising.
- “The Edge” – Anthony Hopkins and a bear? Okay, I’m intrigued.
- “A Perfect Getaway”– Milla Jovovich, I think that I love this acter.
- “The Grey”– Liam Neeson. That’s very cool.
I jotted down a few of these on a scrap of paper. I like to keep track of what I’m planning to watch. Old school, I know.
After looking at the initial list, I decided to dig a little deeper. I added some extra words to my search, like “survival thrillers” and “wilderness horror”.
This brought up some more interesting options. “The Revenant” was in there, which I’d already seen (and loved!), but there were a few others I hadn’t heard of, like “Backcountry” and “The Ritual”. Those sounded pretty intense, so I added them to my list.
Making My Watchlist
I also looked at some of the “people also searched for” suggestions. That’s always a good way to find hidden gems. It’s like the search engine is reading your mind, you know?
I just look up at what I like.
Finally, I was pretty happy and excited!
