Alright, so the other day I was on a total nostalgia trip, thinking back to my teen years glued to the TV. Remember “House of Anubis”? That show was my jam! So, naturally, I got this itch to find other shows that give off the same vibe. You know, mystery, boarding school, a bit of the supernatural… that whole deal.
My Quest for Similar Shows
First, I hit up Google. Just a simple search, something like “shows similar to House of Anubis”. I scrolled through a bunch of articles and forum posts. Reddit was, surprisingly, pretty helpful – lots of people with the same question!
I jotted down some names that kept popping up:
- “The Order”
- “Shadowhunters”
- “Locke & Key”
- “The Magicians.”
Then, I decided to check out some trailers on YouTube. Gotta see the visuals, right? “The Order” looked kinda cool, very secret society-ish. I was not having high hopes for “Shadowhunters” but the name was familiar. “Locke & Key” seemed to have that creepy, mysterious house thing going on, and “The Magicians” felt very supernatural.
After the trailer deep-dive, I narrowed it down to the three. “Locke & Key” was the first one that I’ll try. I like the scary mystery vibe, but I might get nightmares. Next is “The Order” and then “The Magicians”. Those two seem to have that right mix of the supernatural, that I was looking for.
The Verdict (So Far)
I’m still in the middle of this TV show quest.
I plan on watching at least a couple of episodes of each show. I will keep you updated on the rest of my adventure.
