Okay, so I’ve been on this huge movie kick lately, trying to find flicks that really grab you, you know? And after re-watching “Trainspotting” for like the hundredth time, I was like, “I need more of this.” So, I started digging around, trying to find similar movies. Here’s how I went about it.
The “Trainspotting” Vibe
First, I had to figure out what exactly I loved about “Trainspotting.” It’s not just the drug stuff, right? It’s the energy, the dark humor, the messed-up characters, and that whole rebellious feeling. Plus, the soundtrack is killer. So, I needed movies that hit those same notes.
My Deep Dive into Movie Recommendations
I started by, just Googling, plain and simple. I searched phrases like “movies like Trainspotting” and “films similar to Trainspotting.” I immediately got a bunch of articles and forum threads that listed suggestions.
Next up, I moved over to some movie review websites. I wanted to see what the ‘audience’ thought.
Filtering the Suggestions
Now, not every suggestion was a winner. I had to weed some stuff out. Here’s what I looked for:
