Okay, here’s my blog post about finding movies similar to “The Call of the Wild”:
Alright, folks, so I was in the mood for some good ol’ adventure flicks the other day. You know, the kind with animals, wilderness, maybe a bit of a tearjerker. Naturally, “The Call of the Wild” popped into my head. I’ve seen the recent Harrison Ford one, and the older versions too, love them all! But I wanted more like that. So I started digging.
My Search Begins
First, I just did a basic search. Nothing fancy, just typed “movies like Call of the Wild” into the search bar. Boom! A bunch of lists came up, some obvious choices, some I’d never heard of. I jotted down the ones that sounded interesting, mainly focusing on ones with similar themes: survival, human-animal bonds, that whole “call of nature” vibe.
I wasn’t just going to take some random website’s word for it, though. I needed to do some cross-referencing. See what other people were saying.
Narrowing It Down
I then started looking up each movie individually. I looked at user reviews, checked out trailers, and got a general feel for each one. Some were immediately off the list. For example, anything that looked too “kiddie” was a no-go. I wanted something with some grit, you know?
- “White Fang”– Seems like a solid choice since it is also based on a Jack London’s book.
- “Eight Below” I am not sure if it is my type of movie, but looks like many people recommended.
- “The Revenant” It focuses on human survival, looks good!
- “Into the Wild” – This one is kind of must-watch one, I will definately add it to my watch list.
Making My Watchlist
After all that digging, I finally had a solid list.I decided to share with you guys!
So, that’s how I went about finding some movies like “The Call of the Wild.” It took a bit of effort, but hey, that’s half the fun, right? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a date with a movie and a big bowl of popcorn!
