Okay, so I’ve been on this huge sci-fi kick lately, and I kept hearing people rave about “Stargate Atlantis.” I mean, I loved “Stargate SG-1” back in the day, so I figured, why not give the spinoff a shot? Turns out, I got totally hooked, and it got me thinking… what other shows out there capture that same magic? So I started digging around, looking for some recommendations.
First, I jumped onto some online forums. You know, the usual places where fans hang out and discuss their favorite shows. I posted a question, something like, “What are some good shows similar to ‘Stargate Atlantis’?” and waited to see what people would suggest.
My Watchlist Grows
I got a bunch of replies, some helpful, some not so much. I started sifting through them and making a list of the shows that seemed promising. I had to do some cross referencing, because I wanted shows, with similar themes, stories, or vibe.
- Some people highly recommended other stargate shows.
- Then after my digging I added my own flavor to the list.
I ended up adding a few more shows to my list, based on my own research. I’d read reviews, watch trailers, and basically try to get a feel for whether a show would be something I’d enjoy.
I’m still working my way through my list, but I’m having a blast discovering some awesome new (and some not-so-new) sci-fi shows. It’s been a fun little project, and it all started with that craving for something similar to “Stargate Atlantis.”
