Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out this place called Mark Bowling in Rocky Mount, NC. I’d heard some good things about it, and honestly, I was just looking for something fun to do on a Saturday.
First thing I did was look it up on my phone. Just wanted to get the address and see what the hours were. It was pretty easy to find the basic info.
Getting There
Driving there was no big deal. It’s not hidden away or anything. I just plugged the address into my GPS, and it took me right there. Plenty of parking, which is always a plus.

Inside the Alley
When I walked in, it was pretty much what I expected. You know, the usual bowling alley vibe. Lots of lanes, people bowling, the sound of pins crashing… It was clean, though. I’ve been to some alleys that are kinda dingy, but this one was alright.
Getting Set Up
I went up to the counter and the person there was friendly enough. Told them I wanted to bowl a game or two, got my shoes (thankfully, they had my size!), and they assigned me a lane.
- Go to counter
- Asked for a game or two
- Got rental shoes
- Got a lane assigned
The Bowling Itself
I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a pro bowler or anything. I just bowl for fun. It had been a while, so the first few throws were… well, let’s just say they weren’t strikes. But I got into the groove eventually. Scored a few spares, even a strike! It’s always a good feeling when you knock all those pins down.
I like the scoring * insteresting.
Overall Experience
I ended up bowling two games. It was a good way to kill some time and have a little * place wasn’t too crowded, which was nice. I didn’t have to wait long for my turn or anything.
All in all, I’d say Mark Bowling is a solid spot if you’re looking to bowl in Rocky Mount. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean, the staff is decent, and the lanes are good. I’ll probably go back sometime.
