Okay, so I was on a mission today. A mission to find movies like “All Good Things”. You know, that creepy, kinda unsettling but totally gripping movie with Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst? Yeah, that one. I wanted more of that vibe.
So, first, I just straight-up Googled “movies like All Good Things”. I mean, that’s the obvious starting point, right? I got a bunch of lists, some better than others. I skimmed through them, jotting down titles that sounded promising.
My Movie-Hunting Process
- Step 1: Google It. Like I said, obvious first step.
- Step 2: List Mania. I made a master list of all the movies that popped up repeatedly on different sites.
- Step 3: Trailer Time. YouTube is my best friend for this. I watched trailers for each movie on my list. Did it feel like “All Good Things”? Did it have that dark, mysterious energy?
- Step 4: Narrow It Down. Based on the trailers, I cut the list down to the ones that really grabbed me.
- Step 5 Check Reviews. Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, whatever. To see people recommend and share their thoughts.
I spent a good chunk of time just watching trailers. Some were clearly not what I was looking for – too much action, too much outright horror, not enough psychological suspense. I was really looking for that slow burn, that feeling of unease that builds and builds.
