Okay, here is my blog post about movies like “Young Woman and the Sea”:
So I was browsing online, as you do, and I came across this movie called “Young Woman and the Sea”. I watched it and I was like, man, I need more stuff like this. So I went on a mission, you know, to find similar movies. Started off just poking around online, seeing what I could dig up.
First, I hit up this site, Letterboxd. They are not some big company or something, just some guys doing their thing, I really enjoy it. They had a whole section on movies like “Young Woman and the Sea.” Boom, jackpot! Got a bunch of names right there.
Then I kind of cross-referenced those with what’s popular on Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon, like most people do. You know, make sure these movies are actually, like, watchable, haha. I also remembered that Disney made a lot of sports movies back in the day, like in the 2000s and 2010s. “Queen of Katwe” is one of them. So I looked into some of those, too.
After all that digging around, I ended up with a pretty solid list. Here’s what I found out, I hope that I can bring some help to you guys:
Movies Similar to “Young Woman and the Sea”
- Queen of Katwe– This one kept popping up. Seems like it’s got a similar vibe.
- Other Disney Sports Movies – I found a whole bunch of these from back in the 2000s and 2010s, so there’s probably something in there that’ll scratch that itch.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of movies like “Young Woman and the Sea”. It was a fun little rabbit hole to go down, and I think I came out of it with some pretty good recommendations.
