Alright, so I came across this dude, Chris Sutton, who’s supposed to be some big shot in Florida real estate. I was curious, so I dug in. Started off with a basic search and found his LinkedIn profile. He’s got this “SIOR” tag next to his name, which I guess means he’s kind of a big deal in the industry.
Then, I stumbled upon this company called VS Real Estate, or VSRE for short. Turns out, Chris Sutton is one of the head honchos there, a “Managing Principal,” as they call it. Apparently, this VSRE is a new company started by him and another guy, Carlos Velasquez, who is also well-known in the South Florida real estate scene. From what I gathered, they’re offering all sorts of real estate services.
This Chris guy, though, he’s been around the block. Over 17 years in the business, and they say he’s handled over $2.5 billion in real estate deals. Billion with a ‘B’. That’s a lot of zeros. At VSRE, he’s in charge of the brokerage services, which I guess is the buying and selling part of the business.
I also found some stuff about the housing market in Florida. This CEO, Nick Gerli, from some real estate data platform, Reventure App, was talking to ResiClub. He’s saying things are a bit crazy down there.
And get this – there are scams going around. People pretending to be selling houses they don’t even own. This site, Scam Busters, was giving advice on how to avoid getting ripped off. They were saying to double-check who actually owns the property using online tools, like Google or those property tax databases, and to actually go see the place in person. Makes sense, right?
But the headaches don’t stop there. I saw a column about home insurance costs in Florida. Seems like they’re still going up, which is another hassle for folks trying to buy or own a home there. And I saw that this Chris Sutton, the big-shot broker, he’s got some listings on * and is based in Miami Lakes. So, he’s definitely in the thick of it all, dealing with the crazy market and all its challenges.
So, yeah, that’s what I found out about this Chris Sutton and the whole Florida real estate scene. A whole mix of big money deals, scams, and rising costs. It’s a wild world out there!
