Okay, so I saw this thing on Shark Tank, Season 14, called Anytongs. It’s basically this kitchen gadget that turns regular utensils into tongs. I was pretty curious, so I decided to give it a try.
First off, I ordered one online. It was pretty cheap, so I was like, “Why not?” When it arrived, I unboxed it and it looked kinda weird, but I guess that’s the point. It’s this small, kinda flexible thingy that you’re supposed to attach to your own forks or spoons.
I grabbed a couple of forks from my drawer and tried to attach the Anytongs. It took me a couple of tries to get it right. I needed to do it per the instructions. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy to use, I must admit.
- I tried it out with some salad first.
- It worked okay.
- I could pick up the lettuce and tomatoes without any problems.
Then I got a little more adventurous. I tried using it to flip some bacon in a pan. It was a little trickier because the bacon was hot and greasy, but I managed to do it.
I even used it to grab some pasta from a pot of boiling water. That was probably the most challenging test, but it worked surprisingly well.
My Thoughts
Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll use the Anytongs every day. I already have regular tongs, you know? But it’s kind of a fun little gadget to have around. And it does what it’s supposed to do. I mean, it actually turns your utensils into tongs! Plus, it is quite small, so it doesn’t take up much space in the drawer.
If you’re looking for a unique kitchen tool, or if you just like trying out new things, then you might want to check out Anytongs. It’s not a must-have, but it’s definitely interesting.
