Okay, here’s a recap of my experience with “Goodbye Earth”:
So, I finally watched this “Goodbye Earth” thing on Netflix. It’s got like, 12 episodes, and the whole thing is, an asteroid is gonna smash into Earth, which is kind of a bummer. I got curious about how people will react when the end of the world is coming, so I decided to watch it.
I started watching it, and the first few episodes were a bit slow. It introduced the main characters, Se-kyung, Yoon-sang, and a few others. I learned that Ahn Eun-jin is in this, and also that guy, Yoo Ah-in. The story went on, and showed what people do when they know the world is ending. Some people just go crazy, some people try to do good things, some people start robbing banks. It’s wild. But I didn’t think it’s gonna happen in real life. It’s too fake.
Here’s what I did while watching:
- Took notes on each episode. Just wrote down the main things that happened.
- Watched some clips on IMDb. I think it’s a movie website or something.
- Stopped and rewatched some parts to understand better.
I got to the end, and it was kinda sad but also… expected? Like, they’ve been saying the world is ending for 12 episodes, you know? Yoon-sang started making bottle bombs. Se-kyung, she went to some club where the leader guy was. I guessed that she want to kill the guy. And then, it ended with her talking about saying goodbye. Which was obvious.
Anyway, I finished it. It was okay, I guess. Not the best thing I’ve ever watched, but it made me think about what I’d do if an asteroid was coming. Probably just eat a lot of pizza and play video games. It’s not that bad, but I wouldn’t watch it again.
