Okay, so I got this itch the other day to find some flicks that give off the same vibe as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” You know, that movie where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are both secret agents and married? Classic, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want more of that spy-versus-spy action, but with a side of marital drama?
So I started digging. First, I hit up my usual go-to movie sites, just browsing around. Typed in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in their search bars and poked around the “you might also like” sections. You know how it is, kinda just falling down that rabbit hole. Found some interesting titles, but nothing that really screamed “this is it!”
Then, I thought, why not check out what other people are saying? So I hopped on some forums, and movie discussion groups. People were throwing around all sorts of suggestions. Someone mentioned “Allied”, that 2016 movie, also with Brad Pitt, but this time he’s paired with Marion Cotillard. Apparently, it’s got a similar espionage thing going on, directed by Robert Zemeckis. I made a note of it, but I was looking for something a bit more… current, you know?
Then it hit me – TV shows! Why limit myself to just movies? So I started searching for series that have a similar premise. Boom! First thing that popped up was “The Americans”. Now, I’ve heard of this one before, always meant to check it out. People say it’s amazing. It ran from 2013 to 2018 on FX. And get this, it’s about two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple. Sounds juicy, right?
