Alright, so, let me tell you about this whole “Eric” thing. It’s been a wild ride, you know? So, it all starts with me diving into this Netflix series, “Eric.” I got hooked from the get-go, I mean, the premise itself is kinda nuts, but in a good way.
The show’s about this kid, Edgar, who goes missing. Sounds simple enough, right? But trust me, it’s a rollercoaster. In episode 1, I started to watch it. The parents, Vincent and Cassie, they’re a piece of work. Always bickering, especially after they get into an argument. I saw them fight like cats and dogs, and honestly, it was uncomfortable to watch. And poor Edgar, caught in the middle of all that. Then, bam, he vanishes on his way to school. Just like that.
Now, everyone’s thinking he got snatched up, but boy, were they wrong. I kept watching, episode after episode, and things got crazier. Turns out, Edgar started following this guy, Yuusuf Egbe. Why? I had no freaking clue, but I was determined to find out. I mean the kid wasn’t kidnapped. He ran away.
Then there’s Vincent, the dad. Man, this guy is a mess. But, he’s got this whole other side to him, this imaginary world with puppets and stuff. And there’s this one puppet, Eric. That’s where things get really interesting. So, in the finale episode, Vincent does something totally nuts. It is a bold move to save his son.
Here’s where it gets good. Vincent, he goes full-on method actor, right? He puts on this Eric costume, the whole nine yards, and goes on TV, man. Begging for Edgar to come back. He’s all emotional and stuff, and I gotta admit, it got to me a little. I think I even teared up, okay? Don’t judge.
And guess what? It worked. Edgar sees it, and they have this big, tearful reunion outside their building. Cassie’s there too, and it’s just a whole mess of emotions. I found Edgar, and he’s safe. It was one of the best feelings ever. I couldn’t believe I actually helped reunite a family, even if it was just in a TV show.
But here’s the kicker. The ending? It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Vincent, he’s sober now, and he’s actually killing it in the Eric costume, doing good. Edgar, Cassie, and Sebastian are at the Good Day Sunshine show’s taping. There are also some people who want to talk with Vincent after the show, and they finally do it.
But the show’s creator, Morgan, she said she wanted to remind everyone that this happy ending stuff doesn’t happen for everyone. There are still kids out there who are missing, and that’s a tough pill to swallow.
So yeah, that’s my “Eric” story. It was a trip, a real emotional rollercoaster. It got me hooked, made me cry, and in the end, left me thinking. I’m glad that Edgar found his way home. It’s a good reminder that not all stories have a happy ending, and we should never forget that.
