iPad Mag: How to Choose the Perfect Magazine for Your iPad!

iPad Mag: How to Choose the Perfect Magazine for Your iPad!

Okay, here is my sharing about how to read magazines on iPad:

So today I wanted to kill some time and do some reading. I know there are tons of magazines available on the iPad, but I just never really got around to figuring out the whole process. You know how it is, life gets busy. Anyway, I grabbed my iPad and decided today was the day.

First things first, I needed to find the magazines. I remembered that the iPad has a built-in app called “Newsstand,” or maybe it’s just called “News” now, Apple keeps changing things up. Turns out, it’s the News app. I opened it up and poked around a bit. There’s a section called “News+” which seems to be where all the magazine subscriptions are hiding.

I tapped on “My Magazines” and then I saw a little icon under the cover of some magazines. I tapped that, and it gave me the option to “Browse Back Catalog.” That sounded promising. It showed me a bunch of older issues of the magazines I follow. I could also search for other magazines by their channel name, which was pretty neat.

To open a magazine, all I had to do was swipe to the one I wanted under “Recent Issues” and tap on it. Easy peasy! It opened right up, and I could flip through the pages just like a real magazine, but without the paper cuts.

Now, I’m not subscribed to Apple News+, but it seems like if you are, you get access to even more stuff. I saw a bunch of magazines I recognized, like Wired and The New York Times, all available digitally. It’s pretty tempting, to be honest. I might have to look into that subscription later.

I also noticed that the iPad Mini would be perfect for this kind of reading. It’s smaller and more portable than my regular iPad, but still bigger than my phone. I can totally see myself curling up on the couch with an iPad Mini and a digital magazine.

But yeah, overall, it was way easier than I thought to get into digital magazines on the iPad. Just a few taps, and I was browsing through all sorts of stuff. If you’ve got an iPad and you’re into magazines, you should definitely check it out. It’s a pretty cool way to read your favorites, and you don’t have to deal with a huge stack of magazines piling up on your coffee table.

You can find some magazines you are interested in, then you will know if the publisher has other magazines that suit your taste.

  • Find magazines you like
  • Check other magazines from same publisher

This is my experience about reading magazines on iPad today, hope it helps!
