Okay, so I’ve been glued to this medical drama called “The Resident” lately. Six whole seasons, and I binged them all on Netflix. It’s all about this hospital, Chastain Park Memorial, and the crazy stuff that goes down there. Doctors, patients, ethical dilemmas – the whole nine yards. But now that I’m done, I’m itching for something new, something similar to fill that void, you know?
So, I started digging. First, I just started scrolling through Netflix, hoping something would catch my eye. I mean, surely there are other medical dramas out there, right? I stumbled upon a few titles that seemed promising. There are popular medical dramas like General Hospital, Grey’s Anatomy, Chicago Med, New Amsterdam, and The Good Doctor. I made a mental note to check them out later, but I wanted to be a bit more thorough.
Then, I thought, why not hit up Google? I typed in something like “shows like The Resident on Netflix” and boom! A ton of articles and recommendations popped up. I spent a good chunk of time browsing through those, jotting down names of shows that sounded interesting.
Here’s what I found:
- One site mentioned this show called “Casualty”. Apparently, it’s a BBC One drama, and get this – it’s the longest-running medical show ever! That’s gotta count for something, right?
- Another result talked about how “The Resident” mixes medical drama with moral dilemmas and relationships. It listed out ten other shows that are supposedly similar. I didn’t recognize all of them, but it was a good starting point.
- There were also these “similars” lists, which are basically generated based on what other people who watched “The Resident” also enjoyed. I found a couple of interesting titles there, too.
I also read somewhere that during its original run, “The Resident” saw a dip in ratings. It went from 7 million viewers to 4.5 million. Ouch! But then it got popular on Netflix, which is pretty cool. Maybe that’ll convince Netflix to make more medical dramas.
Anyway, I’ve got a pretty decent list of shows to check out now. It took some time and a bit of effort, but I’m feeling good about my chances of finding my next binge-worthy show. I even saw some people online giving “The Resident” a 5-star rating, which I totally agree with. It made me think maybe I should leave some reviews for the shows I watch, too. It could help other people find their next favorite series. This whole process got me thinking – I should do this more often. It’s actually kind of fun to research and discover new stuff, even if it’s just TV shows!
