Who is alina orlov? Learn about the singer songwriter and her unique sound

Hey everyone, so today I wanted to talk about this musician I’ve been really getting into, Alina Orlova. I stumbled upon her stuff a while back, and man, it’s been quite a ride.

It all started a few years back, I was digging around for some new tunes, and I found this artist. Turns out, she’s been making music since she was just 15, back in 2003. Can you believe it? 15! I was probably just goofing around with a guitar back then, not writing actual songs like she was.

So, I started with her first album, Laukinis Šuo Dingo, which she dropped in 2008. Cool name, right? Turns out it’s based on some book. I got curious and read up a little on her. Found out she’s got a mix of Polish and Russian in her, with her dad being a Lithuanian Pole and her mom from Russia. They all lived together in Kazakhstan and then moved to Lithuania. It’s fascinating how people’s backgrounds can be so diverse, and it probably shapes her music in some way, you know?

I spent a good chunk of time listening to her other works, too. Let me tell you, her discography is quite something. I managed to make a little list of the stuff I’ve been going through:

  • The Cavalry (2024)
  • The Cavalry Prints (2023)
  • The Broom and the Window (2023)
  • Frank Barcelona (2022-2023)
  • Forest of Ornaments (2021)
  • Ballroom (2019)
  • And a few others like Ponchik.

It’s a real mix, going from some seriously deep tracks to stuff that’s just plain fun to listen to. I spent a whole weekend just diving into her music. I played her songs while I was cooking, cleaning, even when I was just chilling on the couch.

Trying to find more info about her was a bit of a scavenger hunt. Not much out there, but I did find out her full name is Alina Orlovskaja. I went to her home page, but I think I need to learn a new language to understand it.

Exploring Alina Orlova’s music has been a real treat. It’s like, each album takes you somewhere different. I highly recommend giving her a listen if you’re into discovering new artists. It’s always cool to find those hidden gems, right? Anyway, that’s my little adventure with Alina Orlova’s music. Hope you guys enjoyed this little story. I’ll probably talk more about her songs later on, so stay tuned.
