Okay, so, I got this thing I gotta share about my little project called “Peter Webster and Mary McDonald”. It all started kind of randomly, to be honest. I was messing around with some design stuff, just playing with fabrics and wallpapers, you know, the usual. I stumbled upon some works by this designer, Mary McDonald, and I was like, “Wow, this stuff is seriously cool.”
Then, I remembered this story I read once about a guy named Peter Webster. He was all about wanting a rich, luxurious life. And it hit me – maybe I could combine these two worlds. It sounds weird, I know, but stick with me. I thought, what if I could create something that embodied both Mary McDonald’s design style and this Peter Webster’s desire for wealth? It was like a lightbulb moment.
So, I started digging deeper. I read more about Mary McDonald. It turns out she’s not just a designer, she’s also a creative consultant. I found out she even launched her own collection of fabrics and wallpapers. That was it – I was hooked. I decided to create a sort of fictional world where Peter Webster is a character who lives in a house designed by Mary McDonald.
First, I made a bunch of sketches. I imagined what this house would look like. I pictured huge rooms, fancy furniture, and, of course, lots of Mary McDonald’s signature patterns and textures. I wanted it to feel rich and a bit over-the-top, just like what Peter Webster wanted.
Then, I started writing little stories about Peter Webster in this house. I’d write things like, “Peter woke up in his grand bedroom, sunlight streaming through the silk curtains designed by Mary McDonald.” It was kind of silly, but it helped me get into the vibe of this world I was creating.

I also looked into other things like other short stories that a guy named Stephen King wrote in 1976, or a quiz about Spiderman. They were quite interesting but not helpful at all in my project.
This whole thing turned into a much bigger project than I initially thought. I ended up creating a whole series of drawings, stories, and even some mock-up designs for this fictional house. It was a ton of work, but it was also super fun. It’s not like I’m going to build this house or anything, but it’s been a cool creative exercise.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, sometimes the weirdest ideas can turn into something really interesting. It’s all about just playing around and seeing where your imagination takes you. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually get to design a real house inspired by this little project of mine.
