You know, I seen a lot of movies in my time, but that Frozen Ground, that one stuck with me. It’s about some bad man doing bad things up in Alaska. Cold place, Alaska. Cold like that man’s heart, I reckon. If you liked that one, you’ll probably like some others I seen.
Now, they got these movies, they call them “movies like the frozen ground.” That means they’re kinda the same. Lots of scary stuff, lots of people trying to catch the bad guy. That Nicholas Cage, he’s in a bunch of ’em. He was in that Frozen Ground, playing the good cop. Good actor, that one. And that other fella, John Cusack, he plays the bad guy. He’s good at being bad, that’s for sure.
If you like that Frozen Ground, here’s some more movies like the frozen ground you might wanna see. They ain’t for the faint of heart, mind you. Lots of bad stuff happens in ’em.
- That one, “Gone Girl”, that’s a twisty one. Husband and wife, things ain’t what they seem. Keeps you guessing till the end, that one does. Just like Frozen Ground did.
- Then there’s “Prisoners”. Oh, that one’s a tough one. Kids get snatched, and the daddies, they go looking. They do some things they shouldn’t, but you can understand why. Just like that cop in Frozen Ground.
- “Zodiac”, now that’s about a real bad guy too. Just like that Frozen Ground is based on true story. This Zodiac, he’s sending letters and puzzles. Police can’t catch him for a long time. Makes you mad, how some folks just like that Frozen Ground killer can get away with things for so long.
These movies, they got what they call “mystery.” That means you don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Just like Frozen Ground. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, like they say. Makes you wanna keep watching, even though it’s scary.
This Vanessa Hudgens, she was in Frozen Ground. She played that poor girl, what was her name. Cindy, I think. She did good. She was in other things too. But in Frozen Ground, she was real good. She’s in some of these other movies like the frozen ground too, I think. Not sure, though. I watched so many movies so it is hard to remember.
There’s also one called “Shutter Island”. Another one with a big twist. You think it’s one thing and it is completely different, just like you think Frozen Ground is a simple cop movie but actually it is not. You won’t see it coming. It’s about this island, and crazy folks. Or are they? You gotta watch it to find out. Just like you need to watch Frozen Ground.
- “The Sixth Sense” is another one with a twist. That one’s about a little boy who sees dead people. And Bruce Willis, he’s a doctor, trying to help him. It is very different from Frozen Ground but similar because it got you guessing and guessing and then, wow!
- “Se7en”, that one’s about a bad guy, killing people based on those sins, you know, from the Bible. Very dark, like that Frozen Ground. And the ending, oh boy, the ending…you just gotta see it.
- “The Prestige”, this one’s about magicians. But it ain’t all magic tricks, I tell ya. It’s dark and twisty, like Frozen Ground. Lots of secrets in that one.
Now, these movies, they ain’t all the same. Some got more scary stuff, some got more thinking stuff. But they all kinda like that Frozen Ground. They all got that “thriller” thing, they call it. That means you will be thrilled, like when you are so excited and scared at the same time. You know that feeling when you are watching Frozen Ground and you just don’t know what will happen next?
These movies like the frozen ground, they stay with you. You think about ’em for a long time after you see ’em. Just like that Frozen Ground. You think about that poor girl, and that bad man. And the cop. And how cold it is in Alaska.
If you like movies that make you think, and make you scared, and make you sad, then you’ll like these movies like the frozen ground. Just be prepared to have some bad dreams, maybe. But it’s a good kind of scary, you know? It’s like, you know bad things happen, but it’s good to see them get solved, even if it’s just in a movie. Just like in Frozen Ground, at least that bad man got caught in the end. So these movies like the Frozen Ground are very good to watch!
And that Nicholas Cage, he’s in a lot of these kind of movies. He’s good at playing those tough guys, those cops who gotta do hard things. Like in that Frozen Ground. And that John Cusack, he’s good at playing those bad guys, those ones you love to hate. He was real creepy in that Frozen Ground, wasn’t he?
So, if you’re looking for something to watch, and you liked that Frozen Ground, try one of these. You might like it. Just remember what I said, they ain’t for the faint of heart. But they’re good. Real good. Just like that Frozen Ground.
