Alright, so you watched that movie, “The Covenant,” huh? Yeah, the one with all them soldiers and whatnot. Now you’re lookin’ for somethin’ similar? I get it, I get it. Sometimes you just wanna keep that feel-good, or maybe feel-bad, movie vibe goin’, you know?
Well, lemme tell ya, there’s plenty of movies out there that might tickle your fancy if you liked “The Covenant.” It ain’t easy findin’ ’em though, all them fancy names and whatnot. But don’t you worry, I done some lookin’ around for ya. We gonna find you somethin’ good to watch.
First off, you gotta think about what you liked about “The Covenant.” Was it the war stuff? The guys fightin’ together? Or maybe the whole mission thing? See, different movies got different parts of that, so we gotta figure out what you’re really after.
- If you liked the war part, like them big battles and explosions, then somethin’ like “Pearl Harbor” might be right up your alley. That one’s got a whole lotta war, and some lovey-dovey stuff too, if you’re into that. It’s about them airplanes and that surprise attack, real sad, but kinda exciting too. Lots of action, that’s for sure.
- Now, if you’re more into the guys stickin’ together, like brothers in arms and all that, then maybe “Three Kings” is more your speed. That one’s about some soldiers after the war, lookin’ for gold. They get into all sorts of trouble, but they always got each other’s backs. It’s got some funny parts too, which is always nice.
- And then there’s movies like “War Machine,” that one’s about a general, a real big shot, and how he runs things. It shows you the inside of the war machine, if you know what I mean. It’s not all shootin’ and bang-bang, but it’s interesting to see how things work. Shows you a different side of war.
See, there’s a whole bunch of ’em out there. You just gotta know what you’re lookin’ for. And don’t get hung up on the fancy words they use to describe these movies. Thriller, drama, action… it’s all just stories at the end of the day.
Some folks say “The Covenant” is a thriller. Well, okay, maybe it is. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, wonderin’ what’s gonna happen next. So if you want more thrillers, you could look for movies about spies or detectives or even just regular folks in bad situations. It’s all about the suspense.
And if you liked the whole mission part of “The Covenant,” the guys havin’ a job to do and tryin’ to get it done, well, there’s tons of movies like that. Heist movies, rescue movies, even some of them superhero movies are kinda like that. They got a goal, and they gotta work together to achieve it.
Don’t be afraid to try somethin’ new, neither. Maybe you think you only like war movies, but then you watch a movie about somethin’ completely different and you end up lovin’ it. That’s the fun of movies, you never know what you’re gonna get. Just keep an open mind.
And don’t worry if you don’t like a movie. Not every movie is for everybody. Just move on to the next one. There’s so many movies out there, you’re bound to find somethin’ you like. Just keep lookin’, and don’t be afraid to ask around for recommendations. That’s how I found most of these movies, just talkin’ to folks.
So there you have it. A few movies that might be similar to “The Covenant.” Go on and give ’em a try. And if you don’t like ’em, well, that’s alright too. Like I said, there’s plenty more where those came from. Just keep watchin’, and you’ll find somethin’ you love. Happy watchin’, y’all!
