Well, I’ll tell ya, they’re bringin’ back that fella, Alan Partridge, you know, the one from the telly?
Seems like they can’t get enough of him. They got this podcast, see? “From the Oasthouse” they call it. Don’t ask me what an oasthouse is, sounds fancy, prob’ly somethin’ them city folk know about.
Anyways, they’re makin’ more of them podcast things. Heard it on the radio, or maybe it was the telly, hard to remember these days. They said it’s comin’ back, more episodes you know, like them soap operas that never end.
First, they said it was gonna be August, last year, that’s 2023, right? Yeah, August 31st, they were gonna start up again with those new podcast stories. Then I heard tell it wasn’t gonna be ‘til 2024. Make up your mind, I say! Can’t keep an old woman waitin’ forever.
- They love this Alan Partridge, don’t they? Don’t see what the fuss is about myself, but folks seem to like his ramblin’.
- He talks a lot, that’s for sure. Reminds me of old Mr. Henderson down the street, always goin’ on about this and that.
- This podcast, it’s a hit, they say. People listenin’ to it all over, apparently.
I tried listenin’ to one once, couldn’t make heads nor tails of it. Too much talkin’, not enough action, if you ask me. But, like I said, folks enjoy it, so who am I to judge?
Now, they’re makin’ a whole new bunch of them, a whole new season, they call it. Season four! Can you believe it? Like them vegetables, always havin’ a new season, spring, summer, and all that. This Alan fella, he’s got more seasons than a garden!
So, if you’re one of them folks who likes listenin’ to people jabber on, then you’ll be happy I guess. “From the Oasthouse”, comin’ back for more. They just love to hear themselves talk, these city folk. Prob’ly got nothin’ better to do, unlike us, always busy with somethin’ or other.
They were talkin’ about it on the radio again the other day. Said it was gonna be good, the best one yet. They always say that, don’t they? Every time somethin’ new comes out, it’s always the “best one yet.” I reckon it’ll be just more of the same, but like I said, folks eat it up.
So there you have it. Alan Partridge, back again. From his oasthouse, whatever that is. Talkin’ and talkin’ and talkin’. And people will be listenin’. Goes to show you, there’s somethin’ for everyone, I suppose. Even for those who like listenin’ to a man talk about nothin’ much in particular.
This Steve Coogan fella, he’s the one behind it all, they say. He’s the one doin’ the talkin’, pretendin’ to be this Alan Partridge. Don’t know why he’d want to do that, but each to their own I guess. He prob’ly gets paid a pretty penny for it, that’s why. Money makes the world go ‘round, that’s what they say, and I reckon it’s true.
Anyway, that’s all I know about it. More talkin’, more episodes, more Alan Partridge. If you like that sort of thing, then you’re in for a treat, I guess. Me? I’ll stick to my knittin’ and my cup of tea, thank you very much.
