So, this movie, right? “Inheritance.” I watched it the other day, and let me tell you, it’s a real head-scratcher. It all starts with this fella, Ryan. He gets this house, outta nowhere, from his daddy. Thing is, Ryan thought his daddy was long gone, buried six feet under. Confusing, right?
Then we got this other story about a woman. She hears her pa’s kicked the bucket, the one she ain’t talked to in ages. So, she packs her bags, drags her brother and her new fella along, and goes back to Belize, the place she grew up. Don’t ask me why they threw that in there, seems kinda outta place, if you ask me.
- Got this Morgan guy, says he’s all about doin’ the right thing. Says his principles landed him in hot water.
- Says this Archer fella locked him up in some bunker for thirty years ’cause he wouldn’t keep his mouth shut about a crime.
- But, and here’s the kicker, it’s all a big fat lie.
Then there’s Carson. He drugs and does bad things to this Catherine lady, thirty years back. Archer, he’s takin’ Carson out to, well, you know, get rid of him, when they hit someone with their car. And wouldn’t you know it, Archer changes his mind and keeps Carson locked up for decades.
Seems like everyone’s inheritin’ somethin’ in this movie, houses, secrets, trouble. This other story, about a young fella and some magic book? Don’t even get me started. It’s called “Inheritance” too, but it ain’t got nothin’ to do with the movie, far as I can tell. Confusin’ business, all these inheritances.
There’s also a beach house somewhere in there. A fella gets it from his daddy, the one he never knew. But, wouldn’t you know it, that house is full of secrets. Seems like every daddy in these stories is hidin’ somethin’.
Oh, and then there’s the part about the daddies dyin’ all sudden-like. Just drop dead, leavin’ their kids with a mess of inheritances and problems. Makes you think, don’t it?
Honestly, the whole thing’s a jumble. Jumpin’ from one story to another, folks inheritin’ all sorts of things, secrets and lies poppin’ up left and right. I ain’t sure what the point of it all was. Maybe it’s about how families mess you up, or how you can’t run from your past. Or maybe it’s just a bunch of stories thrown together to confuse folks like me.
All in all, I’d say this “Inheritance” movie is a real puzzle. If you like tryin’ to piece things together, maybe you’ll like it. Me? I’d rather watch somethin’ a bit more straightforward, somethin’ that makes a lick of sense. But that’s just me, what do I know? I’m just tellin’ it like I see it.
