Well now, let me tell ya about the eighth episode of season 2 of this show called Bosch, I reckon it’s a real twisty one. The episode is called “Follow the Money,” and boy, it sure lives up to its name. You got all sorts of people running ’round chasin’ after justice, vengeance, and all them dirty secrets, and they ain’t lettin’ no one stand in their way.
This here episode, it’s about that Bosch feller, ya know, the detective who ain’t afraid of nothin’. He’s real focused on takin’ down a big-time criminal. Now, there’s this woman named Eleanor, and she’s workin’ with the FBI. You know, one of them agencies that’s always mixed up in all them secrets and mess. Well, she ain’t too happy about it, but she’s deliverin’ the goods to ’em. Makes me wonder, how much of that is really for justice and how much is for payback. Them feds can be tricky, you know.
Things start heatin’ up ’cause all these folks, with all sorts of bad intentions, they all start showin’ up at the same place, at the same time. And what happens next? Well, you ain’t gonna believe it! There’s a big ol’ shootout between Bosch and a couple of fellers named Ellis and Long. The whole thing goes sideways, as things like this tend to do. Bosch ain’t the kind to kill, so he shoots Long but doesn’t put him down for good. Ellis, on the other hand, he gets away, disappearin’ into the night, runnin’ for his life. Ain’t no telling where that feller’s gonna show up next!
While all this craziness is happenin’, we also get to check in on Maddie, Bosch’s daughter. She’s back at work after gettin’ kidnapped. That poor gal had herself a tough time, and now she’s tryin’ to move on. She lands herself a job on a new task force, but you can tell she ain’t quite the same. The things she went through, they’re stickin’ with her, even if she don’t wanna show it. It’s a hard world out there, and that’s somethin’ Maddie is startin’ to realize more and more.
Now, Bosch, he’s a man of principle, but even he’s got his doubts. He says that Nash, the feller who’s been mixin’ with all the dirty business, he’s the one who planted that gun in Rykov’s bathroom. And don’t forget, Bosch believes Nash is the one behind the murder of Tony Allen, all tied up with Veronica. That whole mess, it’s just more proof of the rotten stuff going on behind the scenes, and Bosch ain’t gonna stop until he gets the truth outta all them people who think they’re above the law.
There’s also a second assistant director named Dennis Burrell, workin’ behind the scenes. You may not hear much about him, but I reckon he’s doin’ his job keepin’ the whole thing runnin’ smooth.
And well, if you didn’t know, there’s a new season of Bosch: Legacy, and that’s got ten episodes. The second season started on October 20, 2023, and they even dropped two episodes on the same day. The whole season’s gonna run till November 17, and I reckon folks are gonna be talkin’ about it for a long time. Ain’t no shortage of drama in this one!
So, that’s the rundown on the episode, “Follow the Money.” Things sure do get real messy, real fast, but that’s the kind of thing you get when you’ve got folks like Bosch takin’ matters into their own hands. He’s a man who won’t let go, no matter what. And with all these criminals runnin’ ’round, he’s gonna have to dig deep to make sure justice don’t slip away from him.
